Local Church

Being at church today really got me to thinking how thankful I should be for having my local church. I think of all the times that the Lord has spoken to me through the singing and preaching of His Word at the local churches I have been apart of. I am thankful for the local church, for the ministry that I have been able to have through it. I am thankful for my local church for the encouragement and challenge it has been to me. The Lord has used this in my life in a tremendous way, and He deserves thanks and praise and glory for it! It was at my local church in Xenia, Ohio that I heard the gospel, and went home that night and accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior! I learned to serve there, and learned to fellowship and encourage others, as well as invest myself into others.

Now what attribute of God does this portray? When I think of it I think of it as God is Truth. For through the local church we hear and are to share God's Truth. Sharing the gospel, encouraging others with the Word of God. God's Word is wholly inspired, God Breathed! And He gave it as a letter to us, as believers, individually, showing us His Truth. We cannot depend on our own selves for we are fallen, and cannot trust our own judgement. But we can ALWAYS trust the Lord, for He is Truth and cannot be anything else! 

Be of Good Courage, God is Truth and has presented it to us in God's Holy Inspired Word!!!
